MY GREEN GUARD TRIP TO KHIJADIYA
When I
got admission in SAINT PAUL’S it was my dream to become GREEN GUARD and you know
what I accomplish it. In 6th I was green guard and every month or
twice a month we were having some of the other activities. And one of them was
trip to Khijadiya bird sanctuary in Jamnagar. We hopped in the bus in 5am in
the morning with full of joy and happiness. There where many teachers to take
care of us. From school we went with 2 buses one with division A, B, C, and D. The
other went with division E, F and G in that I was there as my division is G.
Now let me tell you from the starting,
EARLY IN THE MORNING
- Our parents dropped us at school in 5 am. We waited for our friends to come and then we sat in the bus.
- When the bus started, we sang song and some time we were bored so we played truth and dare and even we did gossips. The girl who was sitting next to me was my close friend Rincy.
WHEN WE TOOK HOLD
- When we took hold, we washed our face and freshen up and till the time when teachers were having food at the restaurant, we had our food on the bus and as soon as we finished, we went down to play. It was high way so we had to play in between of that 2 buses.
WHEN REACHED AT KHIJADIYA
- We got down from the bus and the first bird we saw was
an owl it was sitting inside the tree.
- Then we again sat in bus and went to khijadiya bird sanctuary part-2.
Where we needed to walk for about 3.5 km while going. - Then we saw many birds from 1 finger’s length to very big one.

- I was actually in forest but I thought that I was
walking towards heaven everywhere greenery and there was flow of water.
- No noise as we breathe then to birds were stated flying.
- The birds which were there comes from they come from Siberia, Europe and mostly from the cold region.
- The birds mostly come during winter months like from September to February mostly.
WE AGAIN CAME TO KHIJADIYA
- We freshen
up and played there as it was very big space there.
- Our lunch
was also organized by them so as soon as they prepared, we were in a big queue
as we all were hungry.
- Then they
told us the story of Khijadiya and we enjoyed it a lot.
- After playing
for some time, we went to Khijadiya’s museum and learned why the birds only
come Jamnagar not other places.
- And our principal
father James said that some birds which we saw there also comes in our school.
- Then we
played dodgeball with teachers and friends.
- We even had one cup of tea.
BACK TO BUS AND THEN RAJKOT
- We sat in bus and said bye bye to Khijadiya bird sanctuary.
- We again played and in that much time we were back Rajkot.
It was a
happy day with my friends...
